Favorite Christmas Commercials

As long as we have to endure the crass commercialism of the season, I might as well enjoy the commercials.  As of right now, these are my faves:

3) Betty Crocker Sugar Cookies.  New for 2007.  "Busted" – little boy discovers Dad eating sugar cookies he left out for Santa.  "He’s gonna leave!  He’s gonna leave!  He’s gonna leave!"  Cracks me up every time!

2) Hershey’s Kisses.

The handbell choir geek in my rejoices, especially the chord that is the 2nd to last note and the ‘brow wipe’ with the Kiss flag.

1) It’s a little dark, but this is still hands-down my favorite ad:

Peter comes home for Christmas.  This Folger’s ad is 20 years old, but I still love it.  Unfortunately, they haven’t aired it for the last couple of years.   Thank goodness for YouTube.

My favorite is the Folger’s commercial! When it first aired I thought it was dumb but now that my kids are on their own, I love it. It’s almost one of those Kleenix moments for me.
And the Sugar Cookie one is great. I think it’s destined to be a classic, along the lines of the ‘Where’s the Beef’ Wendy’s commerical. The kid is great. I’m wondering how they got him to sound so real. In fact, I just told my husband last night how much I liked it. I reminds me of him with our youngest when she was small and just a few years ago with the oldest grand!

Those are great choices!! I had to cheat a little bit and browse You Tube to jog my memory…
    I like the M&M’s one:

    And, this Coca-Cola one…

And, I am ashamed to admit, I’ve never heard of “Nestor, the Long-Eared Donkey.” Where have I been??
