11. And on top of everything else…

The unit that my mother is currently in, well, the condition she's currently in, means that any visitors to her room have to be all wrapped up in gowns and gloves.  Somehow I think my tension will get a little wonky trying to knit with plastic gloves on.  I'm just saying.

All – well most – joking aside, it doesn't look good for Mama Knascar.  She has a lot of things going on, to the point where the doctor has said, "We're so busy putting out forest fires that we can't focus on the elephant in the room."  She's sedated into a coma, but I'm sure she knows I'm here.

Thanks again, and as always, for the well wishes and offers of support.  My family and I greatly appreciate them.

Not doing the whole song and dance this week, but Chimmie won at Phoenix last weekend, extending his lead to 141.  It makes it a little easier to breathe going in to Miami but not entirely.

Still sending hugs. Still sending love.

Take something simple and ask if you can keep it at the nurses station while you are there. The tension doesn’t matter. It is the therapy you need.

  3. Amy says:

My thoughts and prayers are still with you and your family. Sending more hugs and positive thoughts your way.

  4. Kim says:

While I’m not the Chimmie fan you are, I have to hand it to them — they know how to win.
Yeah, wonky tension is probably best avoided. As are all other types. Be good to yourself.

I can see how knitting would be difficult. Thinking of you! /ehj
