With apologies to Schoolhouse Rock and De La Soul, four was certainly the magic number tonight for Jimmie Johnson and the rest of the 48 team. For the first time in history, a driver won NASCAR four championships in a row and, to quote Chad, “I couldn’t be prouder.”
I will refrain from totally geeking out and gushing over my boys, but I’ll just say congrats and giggle to myself for the next few days.
Unfortunately, I woke up this morning with a screaming headache so I did absolutely nothing I intended to do today. I did leave the house to go to brunch with my friend Karen, but that was as far as I got. The rest of the day was spent watching the race & football & soccer and knitting. I’ve been obediently working on the sleeves of my Mondo Cable Pulli on dpns but I think I’m going to have to switch to magic loop – the dpns are getting on my nerves.
