Happy Holidays

Tomorrow I leave for warmer climes, to spend my holidays in Savannah with my aunt and cousin.  Once again, I’m being called upon to fulfill my mother’s traditional role of Christmas cookie guru.  The menu calls for lemon crisps, magic cookies, Russian tea cakes and some sort of oatmeal/chocolate extravaganza.  At least my aunt has a Kitchen Aid mixer so my arm won’t fall off from all the mixing.  I’ve already sent ahead the grocery list so undoubtedly I’ll be put to work the second I arrive.   At least the eggnog should already be made.

To you and yours, have a happy, safe, merry, food- and love-filled holiday.

You have been on my mind lately and I hope you’re doing as well as can be. 😦
